HOW DO I REGISTER?
Please visit the registration page to register for the 2017 ACVC. Paper Registration Form may be used as well.
WHAT IS THE ACVC REFUND POLICY?
Full refund of registration fees if written request is received by September 8, 2017. A $75 fee will apply for all refund requests received after September 8, 2017. No refund will be provided if request to cancel is received after September 29, 2017.
DO YOU GIVE A CONVENTION DISCOUNT TO RETIRED VETERINARY PROFESSIONALS?
Due to food and venue costs, we must charge regular price for all attendees.
WHAT ARE THE TOTAL CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS AVAILABLE?
One (1) Continuing Education (CE) Credit is awarded for 50 minutes of actual instruction time for in-person presentations.
"This program 79-30642 is approved by the AAVSB RACE to offer a total of 246.00 CE Credits (25.00 max) being available to any one veterinarian: and/or 247.00 Veterinary Technician CE Credits (26.00 max). This RACE approval is for the subject matter categories of: Category One: Scientific Category Two: Non-Scientific-Clinical Category Three: Non-Scientific-Practice Management/Professional Development using the delivery method of Seminar/Lecture Lab/Wet Lab. This approval is valid in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE; however, participants are responsible for ascertaining each board's CE requirements. RACE does not "accredit" or "endorse" or "certify" any program or person, nor does RACE approval validate the content of the program." NY State CE
The New York State Board of Veterinary Medicine has approved the ACVC as a sponsor of continuing education for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.2017 CE Credits Per Day
Tuesday, October 10 - Up to 8 CE Hours
Wednesday, October 11 - Up to 8 CE Hours for Veterinarians, Up to 9 CE Hours for Technicians
Thursday, October 12 - Up to 9 CE Hours
WHICH MEALS ARE INCLUDED WITH FULL CONFERENCE REGISTRATION?
There is a welcome reception on Monday evening that includes drinks and light hors d'oeuvres. Hot buffet breakfast is provided each morning during the General Session. Boxed lunches are provided, in the exhibit hall, each afternoon. On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, there are receptions in the exhibit hall that provide light hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
WILL REGISTRATION MATERIALS BE SENT TO ME PRIOR TO THE CONFERENCE?
Yes, once you register for the conference, a QR code will be included in your confirmation email. Please bring that QR code (in the form of a print out or on your mobile device) to conference check-in and receive your name badge and conference bag.
LUNCH WITH THE PROFESSOR:
“Lunch with the Professor” lunch seminars are discussion based, informal sessions with one of our selected speakers. “Lunch with the Professor” seminars are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Tickets to attend these seminars are $35.00 and must be purchased in advance. A separate lunch will be served in the meeting room to the attendees of this seminar.
CAN I BRING A GUEST WITH ME?
Yes. Guest registration fees and inclusions can be found here. Guests are permitted in the Exhibit Hall only and must be affiliated with a veterinary professional who registered for the conference. Register yourself first then complete the and turn in the Guest Registration Form.
I WOULD LIKE ACCESS TO THE EXHIBIT HALL ONLY. HOW DO I OBTAIN ACCESS?
ACVC does not offer Exhibit Hall Only passes. Please register for a Full Conference or One Day Pass for access to the exhibit hall.
DOES ACVC OFFER EXHIBIT HALL ONLY PASSES?
No. Please register for a Full Conference or One Day Pass for access to the exhibit hall.
ARE CHILDCARE SERVICES AVAILABLE AT THE CONFERENCE?
No. Childcare services are not currently available at ACVC.
WILL THERE BE AN AREA FOR BREASTFEEDING?
The conference does not supply a room for breastfeeding, however there is an EMT room outside the General Session room that may be used for this purpose. Please ask for the key and location to this room at the conference Registration desk.
IS THERE PARKING AT THE CONVENTION CENTER?
Yes, covered parking is available at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Parking is $12 per day. Drivers will receive a parking ticket upon entrance into the garage. Please place ticket in pay stations located throughout the garage before exiting the garage. Pay stations take both cash and credit cards.
IS THERE FREE PARKING AT THE SHERATON HOTEL?
ARE PETS ALLOWED INSIDE THE CONVENTION CENTER?
Animals and pets are NOT permitted inside the Convention Center, with the exception of service animals that have proper identification. Demonstrations and workshops using live animals will need to sign an animal waiver from the ACVC and the Atlantic City Convention Center.
IS THERE A COAT OR BAG CHECK?
Yes, a coat/bag check will be located next to Registration on the 2nd Floor. The cost is $3.00 per item in cash only.
